A Chrome extension that removes visual noise, Shorts, autoplay, and endless scrolling from YouTube, while offering transcript-based summaries before playback.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-14 issue.

Field notes

The illustrated Reader view replaces YouTube’s card grid with rows containing titles, channels, durations, view counts, and upload age. The page describes a 20-video limit followed by an explicit “20 more” control, with Shorts and autoplay removed. Summaries are generated from a video’s transcript by Chrome’s built-in model on the user’s machine; the example shows a 19,860-character transcript and says the user can see how much text was processed.
