Webarchy, a Desktop That Refuses to Overlap

The project models a desktop as a browser-resident binary-split layout: opening an app divides a tile, while closing one lets the others expand. Its stated extension point is unusually concrete—a single app contract, mount(el, ctx) returning destroy()—and the page names built-in widgets, a public catalog, nine desktops, and persistent theme and widget data. Webarchy also says the engine is written in pure TypeScript and backed by hundreds of unit tests, with Svelte used for rendering.
