WEHATESKIDS: A Cybersecurity Awareness Experiment
An interactive privacy lesson shows how public network data can be combined into an alarming-looking exposure profile.
Field notes
The experience demonstrates how an apparently personal observation can come from ordinary public data: a network lookup supplies an approximate region, and Open-Meteo supplies current regional conditions. The page explicitly distinguishes this inference from access to GPS, a phone, a weather app, or an exact home address. It also states that the app does not create a visitor IP database and lets visitors rerun the session with progress saved on the device.
