Poplar Barn: A House Drawn from One Sketch
A visual case study imagining a Bedfordshire cart shed converted into a thatched, Tudor-influenced home.
Field notes
The project uses a shared-camera comparison: everything beyond the proposed building remains the photograph of the existing yard, gates, trees, and brick walls. Its measurable brief includes a 14.6-metre length, an L plan, two dormers, and a tall cross-wing gable. The interior is intentionally speculative because the survey says “internals not done,” and the site repeatedly distinguishes these AI-produced concepts from photographs, planning drawings, surveys, and construction instructions.
