Hashti Keeps the Room Open
A prelaunch social app built around persistent chatrooms, private chats, calls, walkie-talkie messages, and live translation.
Field notes
Hashti’s central unit is a persistent room rather than a one-off group chat: people can enter, leave, and return later, with optional voice, stage mode, slow mode, games, a shared listening queue, and a whiteboard. The site describes a separate hold-to-talk channel that reaches people who have the app open without ringing them. It also shows translated conversation examples and claims support for 29 languages. iPhone and Android availability is presented as forthcoming.
