TubeFold takes a YouTube URL, retrieves the transcript in its original spoken language, and sends a prompt file plus transcript through the user's Claude or Codex command-line setup. It saves the result as Markdown with metadata front matter, sensible filenames, and a local library structure intended for tools such as Obsidian. The homepage also describes Chrome capture, PDF export, Telegraph publishing, and per-provider token usage in Settings. The app is presented as MIT-licensed, with SwiftUI and an embedded Python backend.
