Edgelle: paper notes that return with the window
A Windows notes app that keeps notes at the screen edge and can bring them back when you revisit an app, website, document, or other place they’re anchored to.
- For
- Windows users who keep contextual notes
- Worth noticing
- Notes can reappear on nine triggers, including opening a site, leaving an app, or reaching the end of the next meeting.
Field notes
The interface is organized around a small brass-colored “rivet” at the screen edge: hover to fan open notes, or drop selected text onto it to create one. Notes can be anchored to a window and return to the front when that context comes back. The page also describes aging notes that fade, separate notes for each virtual desktop, and an option to hide them from screen shares; these are presented as app features, not independently verified here.
