A committee-style announcement for a 2030 friends-and-family reunion in Asheville, paired with a photo-and-newspaper archive of its 2019 predecessor.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-30 issue.

For: Friends and family planning a long-horizon reunion
Worth noticing: The 2019 parade stretched a mile and drew “essentially no spectators”; one neighbor came outside.

Field notes

The page says the first gathering was set in motion in 2004 by college friends at a wedding, then spent 15 years in the making. Its 2019 archive includes summaries of three Bay Times items, including a parade photo spread and a reader-response column featuring a guest in a lobster costume. The 2030 announcement identifies Asheville but says further details will come as circumstances require.
