- For
- Xteink X3 owners wanting offline reader tools
- Worth noticing
- Reminders, events and contacts are stored as plain text on the SD card; apps are described as sandboxed from books and notes.
Field notes
The reader supports EPUB, TXT and Markdown from the SD card, with page layouts cached for quicker turning. The built-in dictionary is described as working offline and handling word forms—for example, looking up “went” finds “go.” The site also says the X3’s clock chip preserves time through power-offs, and users can add their own TTF or OTF fonts via a folder on the card.
