LoopSprout: a pocket signal checker
A browser-based calculator converts common analog signals into engineering values and produces a five-point reference for controls technicians.
- For
- Controls technicians commissioning analog signals
- Worth noticing
- Out-of-range values are extrapolated rather than clamped; an in-range result does not establish that the device or wiring is healthy.
Field notes
The calculator maps the measured signal across configured endpoints using a linear fraction-of-span formula; reversing the range swaps the engineering endpoints. Its reference sheet lists five checkpoints from 0% to 100%, while controller comparison reports controller minus expected value. The page excludes nonlinear sensor models and raw differential-pressure-to-airflow conversion. It says settings remain in browser storage and shared setup links use a URL fragment.
