LoupeScope puts live colour scopes over any Windows app
A movable, click-through frame reads the screen beneath it and displays live colour and exposure scopes while you edit.
- For
- Windows photo and video editors
- Worth noticing
- It converts captured display colour through the monitor’s ICC profile to sRGB and flags HDR readings as unreliable.
Field notes
Instead of relying on an editor plugin, LoupeScope reads the pixels beneath a movable screen frame through Windows.Graphics.Capture. The frame is click-through, so the editor still receives mouse input; users can resize or move it, dock scopes in tabs, and call controls with global hotkeys. The page says capture is converted through the monitor’s ICC profile to sRGB, while HDR output is flagged because those readings may be unreliable. It lists Windows 10 version 2004 or later.
