Field notes
Riders can save recurring origin, destination, departure time, and days, then choose alerts 5, 10, or 15 minutes ahead; the page says it sends nothing else during the day. Station availability is compared with the station’s typical level at that hour using weeks of data, while current status comes from MiBici’s public GBFS feed, refreshed every 30 seconds. The site says location remains on the phone and clarifies that bicio is independent, not an official MiBici or government app.
