An iPhone and Android film-photography companion for metering, tracking the sun, timing development, previewing negatives, and keeping film logs.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-05 issue.

For: Film photographers who meter, develop, and log their own work
Worth noticing: The meter falls back to relative readings when camera metadata is missing or more than two seconds old.

Field notes

The page details an absolute metering model using per-frame ISO, exposure time, and aperture (K=12.5), with clipped spots rejected rather than averaged. It says the meter switches to relative readings when metadata is absent or more than two seconds old; other listed calculators cover reciprocity correction for 19 film stocks and 42 filters on the page.
