Notchbox presents itself as an encrypted journal for recording encounters, with ratings, tags, statistics, venue summaries, and a map.

Landing page captured for the 2026-10-06 issue.

For: People who want a private record of personal encounters
Worth noticing: Its sample server view shows random IDs, rounded record sizes, and timestamps while the entry contents appear as unreadable strings.

Field notes

The homepage’s sample journal entries include venue labels, dates, star ratings, and dollar amounts. A separate server-view demonstration shows random IDs, rounded-up sizes, timestamps, and unreadable strings, matching the site’s claim that encryption happens in the browser. It also says the product has no social feed, profiles, or matching, and links to security and privacy FAQs.
