- For
- Mac users with saved Winamp skins
- Worth noticing
- The maker reports that 142 of 142 popular classic skins load; more than 100,000 are browsable inside the app.
Field notes
Amp98 distinguishes local playback from streaming: it plays files on the Mac and uses Apple Music or Spotify as the streaming source, leaving the user's library and subscription there. The listed formats include FLAC, Opus, and AIFF, and playlists can be saved as M3U. The maker says the app's skin wall uses real app renderings rather than mockups; modern .wal skin support is still marked beta.
