Rideau: a directory of affected shops and fundraisers
A filterable directory connecting shops pillaged on 17 October with fundraising pages or, where there is no fundraiser, a suggestion to support them by shopping.
- For
- People looking to support affected local shops
- Worth noticing
- The page warns that fundraisers have been opened in merchants’ names without consent and says listed campaigns have a source.
Field notes
Visitors can narrow the listings to independent shops, businesses not yet funded, verified campaigns, or shops without a fundraiser where buying something is the suggested support. The page reports 129 businesses, 14 fundraisers, and at least €166,112 collected; it says those figures were last updated on 21 October. Campaign links lead to external services, and Rideau says donations do not pass through it. The year and present status of the listings are not clear from the extract.
