FakeMart: A Sale on Nothing
A fictional discount catalog of absurd products, with imaginary orders that are never shipped or charged.
- For
- Readers of deadpan fictional product catalogs
- Worth noticing
- Its fake storefront includes department counts, discount badges, star ratings, and an invitation to request a printed fake catalog.
Field notes
The storefront is organized like a conventional discount shop: department counts, sale badges, star ratings, search, cart, and order-status links surround products whose descriptions carry the joke. Examples include an Automatic Meeting Lengthener that adds twelve unnecessary minutes and a Male Ego Inflator 5000 whose advertised confidence boost leaves abilities unchanged. The homepage says every product is made up and that orders are neither shipped nor charged; it also invites visitors to request a printed fake catalog.
