Slab Watch’s counterfeit-holder field guide
A collector resource with alerts and guides on reported fake or tampered coin and trading-card grading holders, plus a checklist and turnaround board.
- For
- Coin and trading-card buyers checking graded slabs
- Worth noticing
- One listed report describes nearly 30 counterfeit Redfield Hoard holders in a single submission.
Field notes
Coin and card material is split into separate alert tracks, with links for holders graded by NGC or PCGS and by PSA, Beckett, SGC, or CGC. The homepage lists examples ranging from counterfeit Redfield Hoard holders to fake verification sites and QR codes, and offers a checklist plus a community-reported turnaround board. The site identifies Jim Pavlish as its operator and says he has about 30 years in rare coins and sports memorabilia; it explicitly says the material is not authentication.
