A phone-based sailing instrument that plans upwind tacks, displays helm numbers, watches an anchor overnight, records tracks, and exports GPX.

Why it surfaced

Sail With Dan is unusually specific about what it does and what it does not: its router checks the coastline but knows nothing about shoals, rocks, depth, or traffic. The site pairs practical details—stale forecast timestamps, coarse GPS warnings, and a looping anchor alarm—with unusually clear safety boundaries.
