Rootd’s parcel-level ADU check for Ulster County
A free address checker reads local zoning, parcel, tax, utility, access, and environmental records to screen whether an accessory dwelling unit may fit a property.
Field notes
The screening separates five possible constraints instead of producing a single feasibility score: zoning, recorded site dimensions and class, utilities and septic, access, and environmental or historic overlays. It draws from the municipality’s adopted law, county mapping, and parcel and tax records, then attaches a source and one of four certainty levels to each finding. The site also names explicit boundaries: survey work, septic design, subsurface questions, and permit decisions remain with licensed professionals or local officials.
