OpenWebring, a webring specification for the human-and-machine web
An open standard for publishing webring membership, site metadata, navigation links, and a self-declared human, AI, or mixed authorship label.
Field notes
The specification uses two discoverable JSON surfaces: a ring describes its ordered members, while a member can describe its own site, feed, author profile, authorship label, and ring affiliations. Its minimum navigation model is deliberately spare—previous, ring, and next links—and the ring may expose the same membership as OPML. Version 0.1.1 includes optional AI disclosure fields mapped to existing web vocabularies, while the page explicitly says authorship labels are not verified.
