Otto, the digital doorman
Otto answers an apartment intercom, releases the building door, and manages guest access from your phone.
Field notes
Otto routes a building intercom call to a dedicated local phone number, then answers and plays the release tone when the resident has activated service. Setup requires the property manager to replace the unit’s intercom number, but no new hardware is described. The homepage lists timers, access schedules, multiple forwarding numbers, caller-ID filtering, guest links, Siri Shortcuts, and Home Assistant integration. A $16-per-property Pro tier is described for hosts, including calendar-based Airbnb and Vrbo scheduling, with that integration marked beta.
